17th Annual CELEBRATE commUNITY – Volunteers Needed

The Brothertown Indian Nation is proud to announce its participation in the 17th annual CELEBRATE commUNITY event, hosted by United for Diversity. This celebration of cultural diversity will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Expo Center in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin (520 Fond du Lac Ave, Fond du Lac, WI 54935).
Volunteers needed for greeting visitors, educating on our Restoration efforts, and set-up and take down.

Doors open at 10:30 a.m., with the event officially kicking off at 11:00 a.m. featuring a flag ceremony drummed in by Native American elders, followed by welcomes from city and county officials. Live multicultural entertainment will run from noon to 3:00 p.m., showcasing performances that highlight the beauty of shared heritage and traditions.

The day promises an experience for all ages, with more than 50 booths representing diverse countries, religions, and community organizations. Attendees can enjoy free ethnic food samples from noon until supplies last, shop ethnic wares and artifacts, participate in family-friendly games, crafts, and barrier-breaking activities, and explore meaningful exhibits.
Additional highlights include:
- Entertainment featuring Billy Mitchell Pipes & Drums, Bread of Life Musical Ensemble, Caledonian Scottish Dancers, Chegwin Hmong Dancers, Dnipro Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, Gordon Williams and the Gii Taa’se Singers, Dancers, and Drummers, and UW-Oshkosh Japanese Taiko Drummers.
- Children’s activities, including Native American storytelling with Shelli Dekker and face painting with Renee Waters.
- The traveling exhibit “Project LINUStraveling exhibit “Project LINUS,” which promotes community service and comfort through handmade blankets.

Admission is $5.00 for adults (cash only), with children 12 and under free. This family-friendly event aims to bridge divides, foster understanding, and celebrate the heritage of all who call our community home, reminding us that in unity, our diversity becomes our greatest strength.
